Hi Precious! Do you have any tips for making large props/weapons for cosplay, i.e. materials, bonding, etc? Hope you are feeling better :)
Yep! Look into pink insulation foam for a foam that is rigid and carveable but light and comes in huuuge sheets. You can cover it in craft foam or a clear floor sealer. Wooden dowels are great for giving extra support and structure to large props. EVA foam and L200 foams are also useful and can be heat shaped and sealed with plastidip. Styrene and sintra are plastic sheets that can be heat shaped, also useful! Carving particle board is also an option but it would be REALLY heavy.
Here is all of Javik’s ‘background chatter’ from the party in the Citadel DLC. As usual, the order goes from sober to drunk. Javik apparently thinks he’s too good to talk to the primitives because this is quite short.
You look amazing on your Yoko cosplay but i have one question. Many cosplayers make the costume of the first half of TTGL and not to many of the second half of the anime. What do you think? Do you like more or less the second costume of Yoko?
Her first outfit is the most iconic, but I like her second outfit and the bounty hunter version as well. The only ones I don’t like are the butt-crack space outfit and her teacher outfit.
I saw your googly eye trick on the gloves and must say thats an ingenious way of using them. what paint did you happen to cover them with? im looking for metallic paints that stick to plastic and so far rubnbuff is the only option that may kinda work
Thanks! I don’t remember the brand, but I just used a spraypaint. In the past I’ve used Valspar brushed metallics and it works really well, but I don’t remember if I used that brand this time. I’d go look but my garage is coooold. ;A;
